While there can certainly be benefits to online tutoring, I believe that children learn best when they are in the room with the person teaching them; that's why all of my lessons are face to face.
At GD Maths Tuition, I know that when learning becomes fun, motivation grows, and good results are sure to follow. That's why I have two aims for every session:
1) Make sure your child is more proficient and confident than when they walked in; and
2) Make sure they have developed their love of learning.
I utilise a mixture of screen-based and paper-based learning to constantly assess where your child is at and what their next steps should be, using what I learn about your child to create a personalised, progressive scheme of learning.
I offer 1-1 lessons where students learn one on one with me. These lessons take place in your home, or, if required, a local venue can be booked.
1-1 lessons start from £48 per hour for secondary and £42 for 50 mins at primary.
Group lessons (with up to 5 children) offer a fantastic opportunity for children to collaborate and learn from their peers as well as the teacher. Children are grouped with children who are in the same year group and have similar target grades so that the learning is pitched at their level.
Group sessions cost from £25 per hour.
In the build up to public examinations, such as GCSEs, I offer revision days to boost students' confidence and alleviate any last minute jitters before the exams. We'll cover topics that the children choose as well as the most common exam topics.
